Scientist/Sr. Scientist – Particle Engineering


The Scientist / Sr. Scientist is an integral part of the AMRI team, contributing to our success by  performing solid from screening and crystallization process development experiments, and interpreting solid stat analytical data and reporting the results.

In this role, you will:
  • Perform laboratory experiments in the areas of crystallization process development and solid form screening of pharmaceutical compounds.
  • Interpret data from a wide range of solid-state and particle characterization techniques.
  • Report experiments and analytical results in data summaries and reports.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation (records and lab notebooks).
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with internal and external clients, both verbally and through written data summaries and reports.
  • Comply with cGMP procedures, safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and contribute to team activities.
  • BS or MS in scientific discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences) with 2-10 years chemistry laboratory experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Requires familiarity with Word, Powerpoint, and Excel and ability to learn use of a wide variety of software packages for interpretation of analytical data.
  • Requires good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Requires good problem-solving skills and decision-making skills to identify and solve work related issues.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical solids and/or crystallization process development is highly preferred.
